WHO WE ARE

FOUNDER

Randy Mixon Jr., the founder of Soaring Beyond Horizons Inc., was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Middle Georgia State University, where he obtained seven pilot licenses and certificates, including his commercial multi-engine and certified flight instructor certificate. He began his professional pilot career at Republic Airways, a regional airline operating for Delta Connection, United Express, and American Eagle. In the beginning of 2022, he was hired by United Airlines and is currently operating the Boeing 757 and the Boeing 767. Randy Mixon Jr. is extremely passionate about giving back to his community and being a role model for the next generation.

CO-FOUNDER

Jeremy James, the co-founder of Soaring Beyond Horizons Inc., was born in Miami, Florida, and was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Jeremy got his passion for aviation from his father who has been a mechanic for United Airlines for more than 30 years. Jeremy James attended Middle Georgia State University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Aviation Science and Management. He began his professional pilot career at Republic Airways, a regional carrier operating for Delta Connect, United Express, and American Eagle. In mid 2022, he was hired by United Airlines, his dream legacy carrier. In his spare time, Jeremy James gives back to his community by providing mentorship to various youth programs.
